Kick off the ASCILITE 2024 Conference at the Welcome Reception, held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the historical Old Quadrangle building on campus. Enjoy drinks and canapés while the sounds of the wonderful Jasper Bruten Trio set the perfect mood for mingling and connecting with colleagues from Australia, New Zealand, and beyond.
While on campus, follow the signage pathways to the entrance. If you need assistance finding the venue, check out the directional map on the conference app. Whether you're reconnecting with old friends or meeting new faces, this relaxed and welcoming gathering is the ideal way to start the conference experience.

Start your day with coffee, pastries, and great company as you begin to form connections that will last throughout the conference and beyond. This informal gathering is designed to help you ease into the event and meet friendly faces who can guide you through the days ahead. Don't miss this welcoming start to your ASCILITE journey!
3 December 2024, 6:30 PM - 11:30 PM – Melbourne Museum
Get ready for an unforgettable night at our CAMP-themed conference dinner under the stars at Melbourne Museum! Located at 11 Nicholson St, Carlton VIC 3053, the museum is just a short 15-minute walk from campus. Please enter via Rathdowne Street and follow the CAMP ASCILITE signage to make your way to into the museum.
Arrive early and explore the Science Life gallery from 6:30 PM, before transitioning to the beautiful dinner space, where a stunning garden backdrop and live music will set the tone for the evening’s festivities. Indulge in a 3-course meal, accompanied by a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and enjoy the company of fellow delegates as we embrace the spirit of adventure with a playful camping twist.
